The best and simplest way is downloading them from this site. Click here for downloading AsiaBarometer Survey Data 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. (Another window will open.)
(Note that if you can not access the data within 72 hours after the approval, please request the data again.)
There are other ways as below, but please remember that they are not always the most updated.
- Another way to download the AsiaBarometer data is to visit the ICPSR data archive, the University of Michigan. The 2003 and 2004 data are available through its website. We are also planning to deposit the 2005 data as soon as possible.
- The AsiaBarometer data is also available through the Social Science Japan data archive, the Institute of Social Science, the University of Tokyo. Those who cannot have an access to the ICPSR data archives are advised to visit the SSJ data archive. The 2003 and 2004 data are available through its website. We are also planning to deposit the 2005 data as soon as possible.
- The AsiaBarometer source book appends a CD-ROM which includes the raw survey data (SPSS formatted). It also comprises all the questionnaires including all the local languages as well as the standard English questionnaire from which all the rest derive. The source book for the 2003 survey has been published from Siglo XXI Editores, and they can be ordered from amazon.com.
